But a very amusing incident with the horses when a certain person tried to climb over an electric fence! I'm still smiling now There's nothing quite like watching someone get unexpectedly electrocuted!

If you think that was bad you should have seen Hugh's face when two dobermans came bounding towards us. I'm sure they could have leapt the fence if they had really wanted to. |

Road Fairy formation stayed closer to home with a 2/3 mile warm up depending on how keen you were followed by 5 x 1k on the track.
Seriously thought about joining Richard when I heard the plan. It's one of those sessions thay you dread beforehand but are glad you did later.
Couple of the younger lads gave Fergie a run for his money, whilst the old school trundled round in their own time. Great fitness booster for this time of year. |

| hour off-road tonight, not enough to eat though and had one of those LSD moments when florescent clouds drifted in front of me. Ah well, back home and a couple of vodka red-bulls have restored me senses. |

The road crew with Rodders standing in very ably for Fergie did some trackwork.
2 x 1 mile warm up followed by 3 sets of the following reps. 5 X 400M with 60/45/30/15 recoveries with a 400m jog between sets. Finished with a 1 mile warm down.
Well beyond the range of your average rambler. |

Can't make it tonight, so made the most of the good weather today and did a long one from home (Water) via pennine bridleway to Waterfoot then Rawtenstall, along river to Ramsbottom, up to Peel Tower and back to Helmshore along the tops. Chickened out of running back home from there by getting a lift with my mum... is that cheating?!
Also discovered the joys of running whilst eating Turkish delight! |
