weightI try to make club nights 2wice a week, the intervals and hill reps are something I wouldn't push myself hard enough on my own. Recently though a couple of things have got me thinking, 1st was going to the 40th club anniversary and seeing the fotos of earlier club members and noticing how thin they were , 2cond reading Lance Armstrongs book "tour de force".
I'll just take 2wo quotes from this very informative read , [ you have to train. you have to be strong, of course. but if you're too heavy, it's all over.]
& [ each kilo adds about 1.25 percent to a rider's time on a climb ]
So basically think about your "power to weight" ratio , be honest with yourself ,will another 10 miles make a lot of difference or losing that bum or belly ?
I realize this may open a can of worms ,but forums are about debate?
