London Marathon 2008Well done to all our participants, I was jealous as hell watching it this morning. Some excellent performances by all accounts- Fergie 2.35, Jeremy 2.48, Davina 3.19, Dale 3.25, Pete Stansfield 3.36, Shelley Tattersall 4.13, Jane Adlum 4.18. I think that's everyone who ran?????
Hope to get under 3.15 at Stratford in two weeks time and join you all on the start line next year.

Not if he has any sense. Why ruin a good runner by taking him on a hill walk.
It was a good shot of Davina. I thought I saw Fergie struggling down the Mall in just over three hours, but pleased to say it was his twin brother - also in a Rossy vest.

FLM 08Hats off to Mr Ferguson. A brilliantly executed race. It must have been that clean London air that really did the trick.
However, the best moment of the day was at the green start where I spotted a guy puffing on a cigarette wearing a "Let's cure Cancer" vest. Different class!!!!!

Well done all, especially to southern softie who still managed to give me abuse at 17 miles and teach the lady with the 2 kids a few new words at the same time.
I've spent too much time on the london tarmac for one year, i'm off up to Whittle pike to do some proper running.

Well done everyone. Great results.
Marathon website has Jon 105 overall, and Davina as 153rd woman! Anyone know if this includes the world-class lot or not?

John's time includes the whole of the main race as is Davina's. The female elite race is run seperately so her time is for females from the mass start. So she finished 153rd out of 2,216 females from the mass start. A fantastic run and so close to gaining a place in the elite race for next year. It won't be long before it happens.

Well Hugh's off sick with a chest infection at the moment, so I didn't see the e:mail. What did it say ? If it's a choice between a fell race or root canal surgery, let me have a litle think and I'll get back to you.
