Just read Nick's latest fell news ............. "If you have been for a run this summer, especially in shorts examine your legs when you have finished. The crotch is a favourite place for ticks."
Bloody fell runners must be masochists! You speak for yourself mate, it's not my favourite place, give me tarmac rash any time.

I've had a bit of a wander off road myself recently, so when I read this at work, went on red alert straight away.
Had a good check and by the time I'd finished there was a crowd of colleagues all looking on somewhat curiously. Glad to report no ticks or crosses for that matter. All pretty much as before.
Boss asked what I was doing and I replied that I was looking for ticks. Don't think he believed me though. Don't know whether meeting with him and personnel first thing tomorrow is connected. |
