Driving up Bacup Rd on Monday night I saw the group out training. There must have been about 20 ladies and I think DNF was there as well. I have to say I was impressed and admittedly a little surprised by not only the number but also by the speed they were going.
I know there are a few who have already moved onto the main club nights and it looks like we might have a few more before long. Can there be a club anywhere else that does as much for beginners who maybe don't have the confidence to join the club outright?
Well done to everyone involved.

What you saw was one of the three monday night groups, some more stayed on the track and there was another 'muster' run out on the roads. Have to agree, theres some talent in the group |

Obviously word is getting around and maybe you have more than enough attendees but I think the whole operation deserves credit in the local press, both in the Valley and East Lancashire generally.
I see plenty of runners out on their own and some would undoubtedly benefit from joining Monday nights even if it's only from the social viewpoint. |
